From Pilates To RPM, move! inspires change

So it all began with a gift certificate for 4 introductory Pilates privates …I wanted to improve my overall fitness and lose some weight. Today the extra weight is a distant memory and I’m fitter than I have ever been before.

Being part of the move! family has been life changing for me. Michelle tailored my private sessions to meet my needs, blending Pilates with TRX and weights. She encouraged me to introduce cardio into my fitness regimen and talked me into trying spinning & RPM, and the rest, as they say, is history!

Today I am a Les Mills RPM instructor and am certified to teach TRX and Spinning. And I’ve just registered for CX WORX initial training in January 2016. It just goes to show what can be achieved when you are in a positive environment, surrounded by encouraging and generous friends.

Back in the day when I graduated with my Masters, I could see myself in the pharmaceutical industry working to improve patients lives, and I have been lucky enough to do just that. Yet I don’t get to meet patients very often. I’m not there in the clinic or the doctor’s office. A couple of years ago I trained as an executive coach and have been mentoring & coaching some of my business colleagues. Helping people recognize their talents and think through their challenges, watching them grow in confidence and effectiveness is personally very satisfying. The direct connection is priceless.

Being an instructor at move! gives me the chance to have that same connection with everyone in my class – Saturday and Sunday mornings are highlights of my week. Nothing beats that endorphin rush at the end of track 7 (mountain climb), leaving you energized for a great weekend or building stamina for the week ahead.

Michelle continues to be an inspiration … join us or support us …. as we walk to end breast cancer : AVON 39 in NEW YORK CITY on October 15-16, 2016!
