Our Team
owner Michelle Els

My love for working out and teaching others inspired me to become an Instructor. My career in the fitness industry began in 1998. What better way to live my life loving what I do as my job.

There is nothing more gratifying than being able to use your knowledge to help transform another persons perceptions of themselves from not believing to actually doing. Seeing them celebrating their ability to overcome obstacles and believe in themselves and make life changes that will extend their years beyond their expectations.

owner Sarah Jacobs
As a busy lawyer, mom, wife, and owner of two businesses, Sarah is always on the "go, go, go." After several years of realizing that she took care of everyone in her life but herself, she found that being on the "go" left little time for self care. She found her now business partner Michelle and in 2007, began as a personal training client.  Although Sarah had been reluctant to see fitness as anything but the difficult means to an end (weight loss), her work with Michelle not only transformed her body, but her mind as well. Sarah began to implement these changes throughout her life, including eating healthier, incorporating fitness, and encouraging her family to follow her.

Sarah became a client following the birth of her son.. She incorporated Pilates and group fitness into her regimen. In 2014, after bearing witness to what the studio, and it's instructors can do, Sarah made a firm commitment to ensuring that the studio's message would continue, and partnered with Michelle as owners of the amazing space. She became a qualified TRX instructor in 2014, and in 2015, having found a passion for cycling, Sarah became a certified Spinning instructor. She now teaches Spinning  and TRX on the weekends. Her secret sauce? "It's the playlist. Nothing can get you going like a good song to shake your hips to!"
Her goal? "Spread the love. If I can get one more person to fall in love with wellness and self-care, then I have done my work for the day."

Her philosophy? "No one is going to make it happen but you. Anyone can decide to make a change, but it's the determination to keep going that sets you apart from the rest. Change is progression and progression is transformation."

trainer Nadine Kern

All the steps along the path of Nadine’s life has led her to Pilates. Her first stepping stone, as a Respiratory Therapist and Cardiac Ultrasound Technician, gave her the knowledge and understanding of the body that she now applies to her Pilates clients. Her years as a student of ballet and jazz gave her an appreciation of the endless possibilities of the human body. Years as a public high school teacher awoke in her the love of teaching and continuous learning. With the advent of sciatica pain, Nadine remembered that Pilates had always been whispered about in the dance world for rehabilitation and strengthening. She sought out a certified Pilates instructor and started on the path that two years later led her to the prestigious New York Pilates school, started by Joe Pilates himself, and to Romana Kryzanowska, one of his proteges. After auditioning and a year of arduous studying, she became certified.

For Nadine, watching Romana teach was a spiritual journey of knowledge, intuition and connection with the client. This is what she strives for in her approach to teaching. In addition to Pilates, Nadine’s other passion is her Border Collies and nationally competing in dog agility.

trainer Alyssia Saporito

Alyssia has been a student of yoga for over 10 years and a teacher for 9. After seeing the positive changes physically and mentally from her regular yoga practice, she decided to take her 200 Hour training in 2011 to share this practice with others. “One of my favorite teachers, Jason Crandell, has said ‘The nature of Yoga is to shine the light of awareness into the darkest corners of the body.’ I find it an honor to be able to help others begin to tap into their physical, mental and emotional awareness through their practice.”

For each class she creatively crafts sequences for all bodies, incorporating props and modifications where needed, and promoting a strong emphasis on safe alignment throughout asana (poses). She primarily teaches Vinyasa Flow but also has a restorative background.
